Robert Blakemore

Robert Blakemore is a highly skilled and experienced research specialist with a passion for building tools that enhance human health. His expertise lies in the development of single-molecule FRET based techniques for the assessment of molecular interactions necessary for HIV genome packaging and viral entry. He has also specialized in the creation of in-vitro diagnostics for tuberculosis, from the conception phase right through to FDA approval. Besides developing assays that provide actionable results to guide product enhancement, Blakemore is equally skilled in communicating these results effectively. He thrives on collaborating with enthusiastic colleagues who are passionate about these formidable challenges. Blakemore studied Biology and Political Science at Bucknell University, and has worked in various research positions in renowned institutions such as Tufts University, Rutgers University, and UMDNJ Center for Emerging Pathogens.
