Robert Bakos is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in leading and managing software development, specializing in digital health and medical imaging. Currently serving as the Co-Founder & CTO at HOPPR, Robert has a strong track record of success in various leadership roles.
During his tenure as the CTO of Higi, Robert played a pivotal role in building the engineering team, developing technology strategies, and overseeing the creation of a comprehensive suite of software solutions. His contributions were instrumental in the company's acquisition as part of a $4.2 billion SPAC transaction.
Robert's expertise spans the design and implementation of a scalable HIPAA-compliant cloud-based PHR platform, management of FDA class 2 medical kiosks, and the integration of IoT solutions. He also excels in leading technological integrations post-acquisitions and driving innovation to enhance patient experiences.
Prior to his leadership roles at Higi, Robert managed development teams at Merge Healthcare (IBM Watson Imaging) where he focused on RIS/PACS integrations and innovative healthcare solutions.
Robert Bakos holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from DePaul University. He is based in the western suburbs of Chicago and is known for his entrepreneurial spirit, alongside interests in food, physical fitness, and family.
