Rob Walker

Rob Walker is a results-oriented professional with expertise in commodities, global markets, and real estate finance. He holds a Masters in Investment Management and has a strong background in capital markets, asset liability management, credit risk management, cash management, sales and structuring, relationship management, and various aspects of risk management such as rates, commodity, and FX. Rob also excels in business development in commodities.

He pursued his education by completing an MSc in Investment Management at Cass Business School, a B.Commerce (Honours) in Investment Management at Rand Afrikaans University, and a B.Economics in Economics and Accounting at Rhodes University. Rob began his academic journey by achieving a High School Leaving Certificate from St Stithians.

Throughout his career, Rob Walker held various prominent positions at renowned organizations, including roles such as Commodity Trader at Farmer Brothers, Managing Partner at Harrier Property Holdings LLC, Director Global Markets at ICBC Standard Bank Plc, and Financial Advisor in the PMD Program at Merrill Lynch. He also served in executive capacities at Standard Bank Group in roles like Managing Partner, Director of Global Markets Sales, Head of Debt Capital Markets, Vice President of Global Markets Sales, Credit Analyst at Rand Merchant Bank, Bond Trader at Rice Rinaldi Turner, Stockbrokers on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and as an Analyst at Standard Bank Group.
