Rob van Nood

Rob van Nood is an accomplished educator, filmmaker, writer, and tinkerer, with a strong focus on democratic education. He holds a Master of Teaching degree and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, both from Lewis and Clark College. Rob currently serves as the Educational Technology Coordinator at Catlin Gabel School, where his expertise in technology and creativity inform his role in developing and implementing innovative educational programs. He was also a Co-Founder, Lead Educational Designer and Mentor at Tinker Camp, and served as an Education Ambassador at Evernote.

Rob's passion for democratic education extends beyond the classroom. As an Advisory Council member at Educating, Developing, and Uniting Creativity & Opportunity in Africa (EDUCOA), he collaborates with colleagues to promote educational opportunities and development in Africa. Rob has taught a range of classes at elementary schools, including Opal Charter School and The Gardner School of Arts & Science, and intermediate school at Trillium Charter School, and aims to inspire and encourage creativity and critical thinking in his students.
