Rob Thomas

Rob Thomas is a Technical Program Manager at Datadog, focused on the core platform team dealing with data ingestion, processing, storage, and querying for user-facing product features.

With a diverse background, Rob has worked at CB Insights where he handled various roles over five years, including leading new feature development, optimizing performance, and refactoring data models for agile development teams.

His expertise spans project management, product strategy, design/UX, and technical fluency, allowing him to effectively communicate across different functions and organizational levels.

In addition to his professional role, Rob is also an Adjunct Professor at St. John's University, teaching Artificial Intelligence, drawing from his academic background in physics, mathematics, computer science, operations research, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys reading, jogging with his Siberian Husky, and learning new languages.
