Rob Sterne

Rob Sterne is a well-respected founding director at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox, one of the top five largest intellectual property specialty firms in the United States. With over four decades of experience in patent law, Sterne's emphasis on scientific and technical knowledge has helped establish him as one of the leading patent lawyers in the country.

He has been credited with helping nurture and grow the firm's revolutionary idea of recognizing the contributions of all its members, leading to some of the most consequential patent cases in recent times. Sterne has been recognized as a "Leading Lawyer" in the U.S. for reexamination and post-grant proceedings by The Legal 500 in 2018 and 2017, a distinction awarded to fewer than ten attorneys in the country.

Sterne has a background in electrical engineering, holds a B.S. and M.S. degree from Tufts University, and also studied law at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
