    Rob Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of humanitarian work and international relations.

    He holds a Master of Arts in Political Development from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

    Rob's career has seen him hold various key positions in renowned organizations, including roles at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

    He has served as the Chief of the Humanitarian-Development Collaboration Section at UN-OCHA, the Chief of the Comprehensive Solutions Section at UNHCR, and the Chief of the Partnerships Coordination Section at the United Nations OCHA.

    Rob has also contributed his expertise as the Head of the Geneva Office at the World Humanitarian Summit Secretariat within the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

    Currently, Rob Smith is on special leave from UN-OCHA in 2021, dedicating his time to research projects within the organization.
