Rob Kampia
Founder and Executive Director at Marijuana Leadership Campaign
Rob Kampia is a dedicated advocate and leader in the cannabis legalization movement, having co-founded the Marijuana Policy Project in January 1995. He later went on to establish the Marijuana Leadership Campaign in December 2017, which operates in both Austin and Washington, D.C. Rob's academic achievements include graduating as valedictorian from Souderton Area High School in 1986 and earning a bachelor's degree in Engineering Science with a specialization in Physics and a minor in English from Penn State University in 1993. His passion for marijuana reform led him to a brief incarceration for cultivating marijuana for personal use during his time at Penn State, an experience that only strengthened his resolve to advocate for policy changes. After completing his education, Rob relocated to Washington, D.C. with the mission of championing marijuana legalization at a national level, a cause he has devoted his entire adult life to.
