Rob Garrity

Rob Garrity is the founder of Finlo Solar, a solar energy development firm based in New York. He has been involved in the solar industry since 2001, achieving significant milestones throughout his career. By 2008, he obtained NABCEP certification and has since taught various photovoltaic (PV) installation and design classes. Garrity has a strong background in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, having previously run Finlo Solar Powers, where he managed numerous commercial and residential solar projects, including the innovative earth screw racking construction services in the Northeast.13

From 2013 to 2018, he worked with Borrego Solar, where he developed large-scale ground-mounted solar systems, contributing to his team's leading market share in New York's commercial solar segment, developing over 60 MW of solar capacity.1 Garrity reignited Finlo Solar Powers in late 2018, focusing on a wide range of solar capacities, including site design, engineering, and market analysis.1

He holds a degree from Cornell University and has been recognized for his entrepreneurial efforts in the solar sector, including speaking engagements at events like TEDxCornellU.24
