Rob Garrity is a veteran in the field of solar energy, having worked in the industry for over 19 years. From building off-the-grid cabins to developing utility scale projects, he has been involved in every aspect of the process. As the former Project Development lead for Borrego Solar Systems, Inc., Rob established the largest market share for C&I solar projects in the state of New York, overseeing the development of over 60MW of solar projects. He is the founder of his own solar development firm, Finlo Solar, where he continues to develop 2-10MW greenfield projects. Rob is also a former board member and President of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA), where he played an instrumental role in building-out the organization and increasing its impact in the state. In addition to his extensive professional background, Rob studied at Mt. Lebanon high school before earning a BS degree in a related field from Cornell University.
