Rob Carter, Member of the University of Memphis Board of Trustees

Rob Carter is the Executive Vice President of FedEx Information Services and Chief Information Officer of FedEx Corporation.12 He is a member of FedEx's six-person Executive Committee, which plans and executes the corporation's strategic business activities.2

Carter joined FedEx in 1993 and has over 40 years of systems development and implementation experience.12 He is responsible for setting the technology direction of FedEx's applications, infrastructure, and networks that provide around-the-clock global support for FedEx product offerings.2

Carter earned his bachelor's degree in computer and information science from the University of Florida and his MBA from the University of South Florida.12 He has been awarded numerous industry accolades, including12:

In May 2023, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee appointed Carter to the University of Memphis Board of Trustees.134 He will replace Alan B. Graf Jr., who served on the inaugural Board of Trustees for six years.1

Carter also serves on the Board of Directors of New York Life.12
