Rob Bell
Deputy Attorney General
Rob Bell is the Deputy Attorney General for Health, Education, and Social Services (HESS) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, having joined the office on September 18, 2023. He was appointed by Attorney General Jason Miyares after Bell announced he would not seek re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he had served since 2001.123
Background
Before his tenure in the House of Delegates, Bell worked as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Orange County. During his legislative career, he was involved in various committees, including serving as Chair of the Courts of Justice Committee and participating in the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee, the Education Committee, and the Behavioral Health Commission.
