Rob Barton

Rob Barton is a seasoned software engineer who has worked in the tech industry for over two decades. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the prestigious University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign. Over the course of his career, he has gained extensive experience in both software and hardware development.

Barton is currently employed as a software engineer at Amazon, one of the world's largest e-commerce and cloud computing companies. Prior to this, he was a co-founder and embedded systems engineer at Iotera, a start-up that developed low-power, long-range wireless tracking devices.

Before joining Iotera, Barton worked as an embedded systems engineer at Checkpoint Systems, where he was responsible for developing RFID tracking solutions for retailers. He also held similar roles at Wirama, Inc. and Intel Corporation. At Intel, he was a microprocessor design engineer for the Enterprise Product Group, working on the development of Intel's Pentium III and Pentium 4 processors. In addition, he was also part of Compaq's Alpha Development Group, where he designed microprocessors for high-performance computing.
