RJ Burnham is a seasoned technology leader with a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in developing AI and realtime voice and video communication platforms.

Starting his tech career at 15, RJ gained early exposure to AI and ML while working on speech recognition and realtime communications platforms, a journey that fueled his passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Currently serving as the President and CTO at Sighthound, RJ spearheads R&D efforts and oversees company operations, focusing on computer vision applications specializing in ALPR, vehicle analytics, and privacy/video redaction.

Previously, as the co-founder and CTO of Voxeo Corporation, RJ played a pivotal role in defining the company's strategic technology roadmap, leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge products and cloud services.

During his tenure at Voxeo, RJ was instrumental in developing a top-tier Multi-tenant communications and IVR platform, enhancing PaaS and CaaS offerings deployed across various cloud environments, garnering recognition from industry analysts like Gartner and Forrester Research.

RJ's expertise also led to the creation of a carrier/service provider cloud communications API platform spun off as Voxeo Labs (later Tropo Inc), further underlining his innovative contributions to the tech landscape.

Following the acquisition of Voxeo by Aspect in 2013, RJ transitioned to the role of Cloud CTO, where he drove the strategic vision, research, development, and operations of the Aspect cloud product suite, showcasing his adaptability and leadership in transformative tech environments.

Beyond his corporate roles, RJ Burnham has actively contributed to shaping industry standards through his role as the Chair of the W3C's Call Control Subgroup within the Voice Browser Working Group, and as the Editor in Chief of the CCXML specification, reflecting his commitment to advancing technological norms.
