Responsible for transcribing dermatopathology reports and assigning the correct ICD-10 codes based on the specific diagnosis and billing guidelines.  Requires the ability to concentrate in a very hectic and fast-paced environment to meet 24-hour turn-a-round standards.  This position involves working across three different reporting systems and being able to navigate from one to the other quickly and efficiently.

Handles client inquiries received by telephone, fax, or email regarding patient laboratory results, inquiries of tests and services, concerns of service failures and other duties.  Follows established protocols to report patient results to clients including documenting all interactions in required formats to maintain complete and accurate reporting per HIPAA standards and provides education and guidance to clients about Quest Diagnostics lab processes and test-specific requirements.  Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure in stressful situations.

Client Services Representative

Provides support to physicians and patients by ensuring an accurate and timely transcription and issuance of medical reports and/or resolving billing questions, problems or exceptions.   Weekly rotation includes editing all outgoing reports, distribution of reports to physician offices, and researching discrepancies between examination requests, outgoing reports, and if necessary, billing statements.  Requires an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and different types of medical and radiologic procedures.  Exceeds production standards on a regular basis with excellent Quality Assurance scores. Job requires extensive computer interface and sitting for prolonged lengths of time.

Responsible for scheduling volunteer interviews, orientation and training, recording volunteer hours, and compilation of monthly reporting for award recognition during recognition ceremony.  Assisted in coordinating all necessary aspects for special events/meetings being held at the facility (food, audiovisual, speakers, etc.), which were scheduled through the PR office.    Entailed a great deal of customer service contact and multi-tasking with the public, community service groups, patient families, volunteers, Board members, and donors and coordination of a multitude of events and activities at the same time.
