    Rita's diverse experience includes roles at organizations like the YMCA of Mexico and the Latin American and Caribbean Alliance of YMCAs, where she gained insights into challenges faced in the Americas.

    Living in Pescadero for a decade exposed Rita to immigration issues, poverty, and inequality, motivating her to work towards positive change in her community.

    Joining Puente in 2006, Rita played various roles such as a Community Builder, Program Director, and more, focusing on programs related to immigration, education, youth leadership, and community integration.

    Rita's educational background includes studies in Paralegal, Education, Recreation and Leisure Studies, and Hospitality and Tourism.

    Her interests encompass closing educational gaps, supporting youth development, advocating for immigration rights and fair policies, promoting wealth development in underserved communities, and nurturing local leaders.

    Currently residing in Pescadero with her husband and son, Rita continues to be actively involved in community development and social initiatives.
