Riku Suomela is a seasoned professional in mobile games, applications, and platforms with over 15 years of experience. Suomela holds a Doctor of Science in Technology, D.Sc. (Tech.) in Software Engineering from Tampereen teknillinen korkeakoulu.

With an impressive career spanning over a decade, Suomela has held several leadership roles, including Executive Producer and Mixed Reality Director at Next Games Oyj, CEO & Co-founder at Lume Games, and Director at Microsoft, Nokia, and Nokia Research Center. During his stint at Nokia, he helmed innovation portfolios and processes, Symbian Smartphones, and cross-media solutions.

Suomela has also served as Technology Manager, Principal Scientist, and Business Development Manager during his time at Nokia. He has an Erasmus exchange degree in Computer Science from the University of Surrey.
