Rick Raymond

Rick Raymond is the founder of The Growth Team/The Family Business Leader, a collaborative group of business advisors focused on privately held and family-led enterprises. He is a faculty member in Entrepreneurism at Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City University of New York. Rick's expertise lies in helping businesses transition from owner-centric to management centric structures, allowing owners to concentrate on entrepreneurial aspects. He is passionate about aiding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation family businesses with best practices, governance, systemization, and long-term goals. Rick also founded The Family Business Mastermind™ at the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship, Baruch College, CUNY, New York. His clients include business owners lacking experience in scaling, family businesses dealing with internal dynamics, and CEOs needing exit strategies. With over twenty years of experience, Rick has been instrumental in the success of closely held and family businesses, having started and sold his own environmental management business. His educational background includes a B.S. in Biology from the University of the Pacific, an M.S. in Natural Resource Management from Humboldt State University, and further studies in Business Management and Executive Coaching. Rick's professional journey includes roles as a faculty member at various universities, founder of multiple organizations, and active participation in numerous prestigious committees and engagements.
