Accounting Team Lead

Oversight responsibiltity for 10 car washes in Texas with an annual income of over $ 8.5 million.  Responsibilities included auditing the stoes monthly, correcting and/or adding journal entries, entering credit card data and correcting daily sales/revenue entries as applicable.  Other duties included payroll management, managing cash, and transferring money to the stores for daily operations and other debt service and insurance obligations.  Job required heavy training to the management staff in the acctg system in order to have accurate P & L's.  Setup defined expenditure goals for each location.  Prepared financial statement for each location and presented those to banking institutions, investors and owners.  Interfaced with store managers, staff, vendors and customers to resolve problems when they occur.  This job had full function accounting duties, with oversight for 40 bank accounts, paying long term liabilities, mailing invoices and colleciton letters.

Served as the Controller with the responsibilities for all accounting, including cash management, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting and investment administration activities.  Prepared and ensured the integrity of the financial statements.  Assisted the Pastor in administering the financial and investment policies.  Other duties included preparing the annual operating and capital budgets and prepared other reports as necessary to assist other program committees.  Prepared information to assist the external CPA firm.  Maintained the information system, completed backups, documented system changes, as it related to financial data.
