Richard Vecchiotti is a mechanical engineer turned entrepreneur and CEO. He holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering Division from Stanford University, and completed his BS in Mechanical Engineering - Design Concentration from Northwestern University. Additionally, he also studied for his MBA at London Business School and completed the Biodesign Innovation Fellowship Program at Stanford University. With more than a decade of experience in the medical industry, he has worked for several firms, including Eli Lilly and Company, Aditazz Inc., and PuraCath Medical Inc.
Richard has previously served as the President & CEO at Curant, Inc., where he addressed the unmet needs for both male and female urinary incontinence. He has also worked as an R&D engineer at Stratos Product Development, and ExploraMed Development, LLC. Moreover, Richard has a lot of experience in Marketing and Business Development; he worked as a Marketing Manager at Aditazz, and as a Business Development Advisor at PuraCath Medical, among others.
Richard is currently serving as the CEO & Managing Director of Mokita Medical, where his responsibilities include contributing to business strategy, leveraging the executive team's strength, and keeping a symbiotic relationship with customers. With a strong background in Mechanical Engineering combined with an MBA degree and his experience in the medical industry, Richard has turned into one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the field, founding and running startups that have later been acquired by major players in the market.
