Richard Steele is a hands-on and results-driven engineering manager with a diverse background in Clean-tech, Medical Device, Biotech, and Aerospace industries. He is a problem solver and team builder who is passionate about creating a positive impact in his area of expertise. Steele has a degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, and FSO from DeVry University Phoenix.
He co-founded FreeWire Technologies and held various key positions in reputable organizations such as SINOEV Technologies, PARC, Altoo Energy, Leyden Energy, Health Hero Network, and Guava Technologies Inc. As a senior engineering manager, he designed and built a fully functional safety test lab to perform UL and UN cell testing onsite in 21 days. He also successfully reduced return rates for medical device products from 25% to 0.1% and manufacturing costs per unit by 33%. Steele was also involved in the design and building of the General Payload System that flew on every shuttle mission from 1989 to the end of the program. Furthermore, he represented the US as a delegate at the inaugural Global Clean Vehicle Summit (GCVS) in Changzhou, China, in 2015.
