Richard Pye

Richard Pye is an accomplished corporate development and communications professional with a broad background in both business and science, spanning over two decades of experience in industry and academia.

He has a robust track record in cross-border activities, having successfully secured over $150 million from the UK and US equity markets since 2015, overseen a Nasdaq IPO in 2015, and managed general investor relations.

His expertise extends to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance matters relating to Nasdaq and AIM, in addition to skills in media and corporate communications such as guiding newsflow strategy, handling media interactions, and managing digital communications.

Richard Pye holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from The University of Reading and a Master's in Chemistry from The University of Sheffield.

Throughout his career, Richard has held various key positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Sensyne Health, as well as a Consultant role in a freelance capacity.

His previous roles encompass senior positions at Summit Therapeutics plc, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs & Investor Relations, Senior Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications, Director of Investor Relations & Communications, and initially started as Corporate Development & Communications and Investor Relations Manager.

Prior to his time at Summit Therapeutics plc, Richard Pye also worked at VASTox plc in the capacity of Investor Relations Manager and held the position of Senior Scientist at the same company. He began his career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Oxford.
