Richard Lo

Richard Lo is the co-founder of Bordr, a company that offers streamlined relocation services for people moving to Portugal.12 He and his wife Kathleen Lo started Bordr after their own experience moving from California to Portugal in 2020.12

Before founding Bordr, Richard and Kathleen:

1. Lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked in tech
2. Started a web design agency in 2016
3. Became digital nomads in 2018, traveling to various countries
4. Decided to settle in Portugal in late 2019

They applied for the Portugal D7 visa in January 2020 and arrived in Lisbon in February 2020.2 After experiencing the challenges of relocating, they created Bordr to help others navigate the process more easily, offering services such as obtaining NIFs, setting up bank accounts, and assisting with other paperwork required for moving to Portugal.2

Richard and Kathleen now live in Portugal, where they run Bordr and help other expatriates with their relocation needs.12
