Richard J. Shinnick, a former NSA advisor and Air Force veteran, is the Founder of Touchstone Security with over 35 years of experience in the computer security industry.

Mr. Shinnick founded Shinnick Consulting in 1998 and co-founded STIGroup, Ltd. in 2000, growing it to 40+ employees.

He played a key role in developing corporate standards for cybersecurity technologies at Goldman Sachs and headed the Information Security Consulting Division at Digital Network Associates.

Richard Shinnick taught Cyber Security courses at Columbia University, New York University, University of Barcelona, and Borough of Manhattan Community College.

He is a volunteer at American Corporate Partners, aiding veterans in transitioning to civilian workforce and a volunteer firefighter since 9/11.

Mr. Shinnick served as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist in the Rivet Joint Program during the Cold War and holds a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

He is an 11+ year member of Entrepreneurs Organization and has held positions including Founder & CEO at Touchstone Security and Chief Information Security Officer at CareSight-Patient Care Analytics.
