Throughout his career, Richard has been instrumental in launching several pioneering products, such as the first parenteral and enteral feeding solutions at Baxter Travenol, volumetric intravenous pumps at IMED Corporation, and telemedicine cardiac event monitors at Instromedix.

Notably, at Genentech, he was part of the team that brought the world's first biotechnology company to market drugs approved by the FDA, including significant discoveries related to human insulin and growth hormone.
