Richard Hoeg
Outdoorsman & Photographer at 365 Days of Birds
Rich Hoeg, after a successful 28-year career at Honeywell in various technical roles, transitioned into a new chapter as an outdoorsman, photographer, and naturalist in the wilds of northern Minnesota.
Despite the seeming disparity from his corporate background, Rich leverages his tech skills by volunteering in IT and web development for non-profits that align with his values.
As a wildlife and landscape photographer, his work has garnered recognition from notable outlets such as The Weather Channel, Fox News, the Smithsonian, and various regional magazines.
Education-wise, Rich Hoeg attended Phillips Exeter Academy for his foundation and later earned a B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1978 followed by an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester's Simon Business School in 1982.
Currently, Rich is actively engaged in his pursuits as a naturalist, outdoor photographer, and children's book author at '365 Days of Birds'. Prior to this, he held the position of Lead Project Manager at Honeywell and occupied various technology roles in Corporate Engineering & Information Technology within the same organization.
