Ricardo Salgado is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Loadsmart, a leading logistics technology company he co-founded in 2014.15 Originally from Colombia, Salgado moved to the United States to pursue an engineering degree at Georgia Institute of Technology before joining Goldman Sachs, where he worked his way up to Managing Director of Principal Investing.3
In 2014, Salgado and co-founder Felipe Capella started Loadsmart in a small New York City apartment.5 The company has since grown significantly, raising over $350 million in funding and creating jobs for over 500 people.2 Loadsmart revolutionizes transportation logistics by leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and strategic partnerships to automate freight pricing, booking, and shipping.1
Throughout his career, Salgado has:
