Ricardo Aponte-Parsi is an accomplished attorney with a wealth of experience in civil law, contracts, compliance, corporate law, securities, government affairs, and real estate. As the Senior Counsel for Empresas Fonalledas, Inc., he is responsible for providing top-notch legal services to a private family-owned company. He has also previously worked at Amelia Consulting Group, Caribbean Advisory Services, and the Energy Committee of Puerto Rico (EcoPR) as an executive director.

Ricardo obtained his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Syracuse University in 1994 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Inter American University School of Law in 2000. In May 2014, he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Law from Northwestern University School of Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He then continued his education and completed all requirements and obtained a second LL.M. from Georgetown University School of Law in Securities and Financial Regulation in 2018.

Throughout his professional journey, Ricardo has also held numerous positions in various professional and civic organizations. He served as the President of the Governing Board of the PR Education Council for six years and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of PR where he served as the Secretary of the Board and Chair of the Federal Affairs Committee. He is also a past president of the Interamerican Association of Businesspeople (AIHE) and previously served as a member of the PR Harbor Pilotage Commission.
