Ric Porteus

Ric Porteus is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in climate action, blockchain technology, and marketing.

As the CEO of One Tribe, he led the creation of a global platform focused on helping businesses reduce and offset their carbon emissions through carbon offset projects and indigenous forest protection.

Prior to his role at One Tribe, Ric spearheaded the development of a tokenized rainforest protection project in partnership with ConsenSys in New York, utilizing blockchain technology to enable transparency in carbon offset creation and issuance.

His experience also includes a significant tenure as the Online Director of the Pacha Group, overseeing a wide range of global nightclubs, hotels, resorts, and fashion brands, where he drove strategic partnerships with major brands such as Redbull, Grey Goose, and Sony Playstation.

With a foundation in marketing and brand management, Ric launched a successful software and eCommerce agency, Recode, that garnered multiple design awards and worked with renowned brands like Bang & Olufsen and BMW.

Ric's educational background includes a focus on Blockchain Business Innovation & Application from MIT Sloan Executive Education, as well as studies in UI/UX Digital Design and Photography.

Throughout his career, Ric has held various leadership positions in organizations such as One Tribe, DANCE FOR ONE METER, Cuipo, bleep.me, Futuro.io, Pacha Group, and Recode Agency.
