Riaan van Niekerk

Head of Information Systems at Coronation Fund Managers

Riaan van Niekerk is a seasoned professional with a rich background in IT and software development.

After completing his studies at the University of Pretoria, he ventured into the business and computer training sector and later transitioned into software development.

With a specialization in financial products, Riaan served as a development team leader at Financial IQ before taking on the role of Head of Development at FNB's Mobile and Transact Solutions division.

His remarkable achievement there was the successful development of new mobile banking services within a record-breaking timeframe, earning his team the prestigious FNB innovations award.

Riaan went on to co-found Brokersbuddy, a company focusing on financial analysis software and IT support for brokerages, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.

Having developed a mobile live market monitor application, he attracted the attention of Fin24, culminating in the acquisition of Brokersbuddy and his appointment as the CIO, responsible for driving IT strategy and overseeing product delivery.

Riaan later assumed the role of CIO at McGregorBFA following their acquisition of INet Bridge, leading the way for iNet BFA to become a renowned provider of African financial data solutions.

In 2015, he joined Coronation Fund Managers as the Head of Information Systems, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to yet another esteemed organization.
