Reza Zafari

Reza Zafari is a prominent figure as one of the founding partners of the Jones Zafari Group at Merrill in Los Angeles, specializing in providing investment advisory services to high net worth individuals, foundations, and endowments. With a career spanning back to 1984, he has accumulated expertise in equity portfolio management, private equity, and diversification strategies. Prior to his role at Merrill, Reza gained valuable experience during his 12-year tenure at Goldman Sachs & Co and Credit Suisse First Boston in Private Client Services.

Originally hailing from Iran and relocating to the United States during the Revolution, Reza Zafari pursued his education at Pomona College, where he earned a B.A. in Economics in 1982. His commitment to education led him to further his studies at the Anderson School at UCLA, where he successfully obtained his M.B.A. in 1984. Additionally, he remained connected to Pomona College by serving as a member of the Board of Trustees.

In his personal life, Reza treasures spending quality time with his wife and two daughters, both currently attending college. He finds relaxation in activities such as watching soccer, practicing yoga, and taking daily walks with their beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Belle.
