Rey Pocius is a passionate Computer Science PhD student and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Southern California. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Oregon State University, Pocius has conducted research and created programs to enhance computer science access for underrepresented and disadvantaged groups, specifically in the realms of artificial intelligence and robotics. Throughout their career, they have been a Graduate Teaching Assistant, a Graduate Research Assistant, and a DARPA XAI Research Assistant at Oregon State University. Pocius has also held positions at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory as a Student Contractor for Explainable Artificial Intelligence and Research Intern. Additionally, they have worked as a DevOps Engineering Intern at Metal Toad.
