Renier Kriel

Renier Kriel was the CEO of French South African Tech Labs (FSAT Labs), a startup incubator in South Africa.1 He led initiatives to support and promote South African startups, including partnering with the French Embassy to select 30 startups for the AfricArena 2020 Summit.1 Kriel's last day at FSAT Labs was on August 31, 2021.4

Currently, Kriel is associated with The Open Letter, an organization championing South African founders and their startups.5 He continues to be actively involved in the South African startup ecosystem, organizing events and supporting entrepreneurs.3 Kriel's passion for helping startup founders developed significantly during his time at FSAT Labs.6
