Renee Fazzari is an accomplished leader with over 15 years of experience as a grantmaker. She is deeply committed to creating a more just society and has a proven track record of affecting positive change through innovative approaches, risk-taking, and community building. Renee's expertise extends to capacity building, transformational leadership support, and facilitating collaboration among diverse organizations. Over the years, Renee has served on the boards of start-ups as well as transitioning organizations, developing a particularly deep understanding of civic engagement, voting, and organizing as critical tactics to build power within communities. Her systemic approach to solving complex problems addresses issues of race, gender, privilege, power, and equity with courage and humility.
Renee studied at Pomona College, where she majored in Religious Studies with a minor in Dance. At present, she is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Center for Cultural Power, where she brings her extensive experience to bear by building relationships with like-minded organizations to effect cultural change. Renee previously worked as a Consultant at Independent Philanthropic Consultant, Program Officer at General Service Foundation (Justice & Leadership in Colorado), and Special Projects & Western Water Program Officer at General Service Foundation. She was also the Managing Director at William C. Kenney Watershed Protection Foundation, and a Program Coordinator at Exloco / William C. Kenney Watershed Protection Foundation. Renee's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including community building, social justice, and environmental sustainability, and her unique skill set makes her a valuable addition to any team she works with.
