Renato Melloni is a Grid Connection Specialist with a strong expertise in utility-scale onshore wind and PV projects, focusing on grid compliance with technical standards and Italian/European Grid Codes.
His experience includes providing technical support in the development, preliminary design, and construction of utility-scale wind and PV projects, as well as technical asset management involving relations with key entities such as TSOs, DSOs, and various authorities.
Renato holds a Laurea magistrale and Laurea triennale in Ingegneria elettrica from Politecnico di Torino, as well as having studied his Master Thesis at RWTH Aachen University.
He currently serves as the Grid Connection Manager for Italy at Lightsource bp, and has previously held positions as an Electrical Engineer at FRI-EL GREEN POWER S.P.A. and as a Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft at E.ON Energy Research Center.
