Remi Ishak, CFA, is an investment leader with over 15 years of experience in real estate investment, asset management, and financial operations. He boasts a comprehensive understanding of the real estate life cycle, from acquisition to profitable disposition, and has a proven track record of delivering exceptional returns on managed funds. With fluency in both English and Arabic, Remi has worked internationally, starting in Toronto with Westmont's Asset Management team, where he played a pivotal role in significant transactions, including a CAD3bn REIT privatization. He later ventured into distressed debt fund management, securing funds from US investors and acquiring mezzanine loans. Promoted to Senior Vice President, he spearheaded the establishment of an Asia-based private equity platform, overseeing asset management, acquisitions, refinancing, and capitalization in Singapore and Tokyo. In 2017, he moved to the UAE as Group CFO of Emirates REIT and Equitativa Group, leading the successful issuance of a $400mn sukuk, a groundbreaking move for the MENA region in the international sukuk market.
