Distracted Driving Awareness Presenter
Reggie Shaw is a public speaker who focuses on raising awareness about the dangers of texting while driving.12 At age 19, he caused a fatal accident due to texting while driving, which resulted in the deaths of two men.12 Since then, he has dedicated his life to educating others about the risks of distracted driving.1
Reggie began his public speaking career at age 20 as part of court-ordered service.13 He has given nearly 300 presentations across the United States since 2008, working closely with Zero Fatalities in Salt Lake City.1 His speaking engagements include appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Dr. Oz Show, and presentations for the NBPA, the Detroit Lions, and numerous high schools and businesses.1
In addition to his speaking career, Reggie works as a youth basketball program director at Legends Sports and Fitness in Lehi, Utah.1 He was awarded the 2011 Volunteer of the Year by Zero Fatalities.1
