Rebekke Muench is a dedicated professional with a focus on building capacity in satellite remote sensing and geospatial technology while bridging the gap between science and the end-users.
Rebekke completed her Master of Science in Atmospheric and Earth Science, specifically Earth System Science, at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Environmental Biology and double minors in Leadership Studies and Spanish from Christopher Newport University. Furthermore, she studied Spanish at Universidad de Cádiz.
In terms of professional experience, Rebekke has served as the Partnerships Coordination Lead at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Prior to this role, she worked as the West Africa Regional Science Associate at the same institution. She also held positions as the Assistant Center Lead, as well as Team Lead, at NASA DEVELOP National Program under SSAI. Additionally, Rebekke has experience as a Sustainability Intern at the City of Newport News, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Referee at Christopher Newport University. She also worked as a Farm Intern at Batten Bay Farm.
