Rebecca Lanctot, MBA, JD, is an Associate Corporate Counsel at Amazon, where she currently oversees legal matters for the Books division, as well as Prime Video. Based in Seattle, Washington, she provides strategic legal counsel across media, entertainment, and technology sectors. Her expertise includes content licensing, accessibility, and negotiating complex transactions. Rebecca has been with Amazon since 2017 in various roles, including Contracts Manager and Associate Contracts Manager for Prime Video and other Amazon businesses.12
She holds a Juris Doctor (JD) with a focus on International Dispute Resolution from Hamline University School of Law and an MBA in Strategic Marketing and Management from the University of North Dakota. Additionally, she has two bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Communications from the same university. Rebecca also completed doctoral studies in law at Queen Mary University of London.13
Beyond her corporate role, Rebecca actively participates in pro bono work through Amazon's program and serves as a board member (and past chair) for Washington Lawyers for the Arts. She has also worked in publishing and entertainment law at Insight Editions and Napa Valley Performing Arts Center prior to joining Amazon.13
