Rebecca Isaacs

Rebecca Isaacs is a renowned professional with a strong background in computer science, focusing on distributed and parallel systems, operating systems, and networks.

Her research interests include performance debugging of parallel and concurrent software, aiming to develop tools that provide meaningful insights to programmers on the slowdown of programs with increased core or computer usage.

Rebecca has contributed to several notable projects, including Naiad, a distributed data-parallel computation platform, Barrelfish, a novel operating system for future multicore computers, and Magpie, a workload characterization system for distributed systems.

She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow.

Rebecca has held key positions at major tech companies, serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Twitter, a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Twitter, a Research Scientist at Google, a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research, and a Consultant at Logica.
