Rebecca Harris

Rebecca Harris is a second-year PhD student who focuses on researching mental health outcomes resulting from childhood exposure to domestic violence in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). She is associated with the University of Southampton and the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership. Rebecca holds a Master's degree in Entrepreneurial Journalism where she was a Tow Knight Entrepreneurial Fellow at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. For her Bachelor's degree, she studied Political Science and Government at The University of Connecticut. Additionally, she attended The Kinkaid School.

Throughout her career, Rebecca has been involved in various roles and organizations. She is recognized as the Co-Founder & PM at Whipped Cream PBC. Previously, she worked as a Product Manager at Text Rex within The Infatuation. Rebecca also held the positions of CEO & Cofounder at Purple, which was later acquired by The Skimm. Her experience includes roles such as Multiplatform Intern at NowThis News, Editorial Intern at The Hartford Business Journal, Intern at Senator Kent Conrad's Office in the United States Senate, Deputy Field Organizer at Bill White's Campaign, Counselor at Camp For All, and Intern at Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative.
