Valley Water District 7 Director. Attorney, Entrepreneur, Advocate, Activist, Investor dedicated 100% to positive impact, change & sustainability.
Who is Rebecca Eisenberg?
Rebecca Eisenberg is a Director at the Santa Clara Valley Water District (Valley Water), representing District 7 which includes the cities of Palo Alto, Stanford, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, and a portion of Cupertino.34 She was elected to the Valley Water Board in November 2022.1
Eisenberg is currently embroiled in controversy with her fellow board members. In March 2024, the Valley Water Board of Directors voted 6-1 to censure Eisenberg for misconduct, including mishandling confidential information and discriminatory harassment, abusive conduct, and improper direction to staff.2 The board also imposed disciplinary actions such as removing her from all roles and responsibilities representing the Board and District, requiring her to attend anti-discrimination and behavioral management training, and restricting her ability to interact with employees.2
Valley Water is now suing Eisenberg for allegedly removing about 2,000 pages of unredacted confidential investigation documents regarding her behavior from the agency's San Jose office.1 Eisenberg claims the documents were already in possession of the CEO, Board Chair, and district counsel.1
Eisenberg is a graduate of Emerge California Bootcamp, Class of 2020, which trains Democratic women to run for office.5 Her personal Twitter handle is @rle.6
