Robert Best

Rebecca Best is an accomplished professional with expertise in medical education, leadership development, faculty governance, medical genetics, neural tube defects, clinical cytogenetics, screening, and bioethics. She holds a PhD in Genetics & Toxicology, an MS in Toxicology with a minor in Statistics, and a BS in Biochemistry. Rebecca has held various roles at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, including Medical Geneticist, Professor, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs & Professional Development, and Interim Chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences. She has also served as Associate Dean of Administrative & Faculty Affairs at University of South Carolina, School of Medicine - Greenville/Prisma Health Upstate and Faculty Senate Chair. Previously, she was a Professor & Director of the Division of Clinical Genetics & Molecular Medicine at University of South Carolina.
