Rayyan Islam is the Co-founder and General Partner of 8090 Industries, a VC firm with $250M+ AUM, focused on industrial technology, energy abundance, and national security.

He has invested in companies like EquipmentShare, Oklo, Armada, and many others, with a total portfolio value exceeding $10B.

Rayyan is also the co-founder of Gold Hydrogen, a leading clean hydrogen producer, and has been involved in incubating Maple Materials and the industrialist new media empire.

Recognized as a top early-stage investor and powerful seed stage climate tech VC, he has spoken at prestigious institutions and his work has been featured in major publications.

Rayyan's passion for addressing energy insecurity and climate change stems from his upbringing in Bangladesh, where he witnessed global impacts firsthand.

Apart from his ventures, he leads the Texas Abundance Project, serves as a fellow at the Energy Institute at UT Austin, advises the Earth Biogenome Project, and contributes to Loomis Labs.

In his personal time, he enjoys family activities, outdoor pursuits, exploring museums, reading, and engaging in NASA citizen science projects.

Rayyan resides in Dallas, Texas with his family and holds degrees in Economics and Biology from Baylor University and has also studied Economics at Harvard University.
