Ray Mercedes

Ray Mercedes is a highly accomplished legal professional with significant experience in corporate law, transactional practice, and governance.

Currently serving as the General Counsel at Sidewalk Labs, Ray is dedicated to driving urban innovation and sustainability to make cities more affordable and efficient.

Prior to his current role, Ray held key positions at Univision Communications Inc., where he was the Deputy General Counsel and Chief of Staff of the Legal & Corporate Affairs Department.

During his time at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Ray gained extensive experience representing private equity funds, investment funds, and various public and private companies in corporate transactions.

Ray holds a JD from Boston College Law School, an MBA from Boston College - Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management, and a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

His professional journey also includes a role as an Adjunct Professor at Boston College and experience as a Summer Associate at Sullivan & Worcester LLP.
