Ray Gorman

Ray Gorman is a highly experienced professional in the energy sector, with a strong educational background in renewable energy systems and electrical engineering.

He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Renewable Energy System Technology from Loughborough University, a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology, and completed an Erasmus program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Haute Ecole de la Communaut\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise 'Paul-Henri Spaak' in Bruxelles.

Ray has held key roles in various organizations, showcasing his expertise and leadership skills. He currently serves as the Kenya Lead Advisor for the Power Africa Off-grid Project at Tetra Tech. Previously, he was the Beyond The Grid Advisor for Uganda under the Power Africa Transactions and Reforms Program at Tetra Tech.

Prior to his roles at Tetra Tech, Ray Gorman worked as a Chief Engineer at Energy Action Partners and Great Lakes Energy Ltd. He has also served as an Engineering in Development Consultant as part of his freelance work. Additionally, Ray's dedication to engineering for social good is evident through his involvement with Engineers Without Borders UK and his previous role as a Technical Administrator at Haven.
