Rawan Mohamed

Rawan Salah Eldeen Mohamed is a second-year undergraduate student at Northwestern University with a keen interest in Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, and Design.

She has a diverse background and has been involved in various organizations and roles related to product management, human-centered design, and research.

Throughout her academic journey, Rawan has worked on projects addressing disabilities, gender inequality, sustainable development, and youth empowerment through the application of computer science and design.

She has a strong academic foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northwestern University and a High School Diploma from Maadi STEM School for Girls.

Rawan's experiences range from being a Studio Member at Design for America to serving as a Design Researcher at the Green Development Support Center and holding roles at Empowerment Through Integration.

She has also been active in various leadership positions at Northwestern University including being a Peer Adviser, Community Outreach Chair of Women in Computing, and Startup Co-founder at EPIC.

Additionally, Rawan has been involved in initiatives like MakerGirl, Segal Design Institute, Iridescent, and Morgan Stanley's Technology Early Insights Program.

Her enthusiasm for technology and design is further highlighted through roles at Google, Inclusive Technology Lab at Northwestern University, and as Junior Executive Board Member of Women in Computing.

Rawan's international exposure includes experiences as a UWC Atlantic College Global Leadership Experience Program Facilitator, LexiaTir Co-founder at NASA Space Apps Cairo, and as a Yale Model UN Ambassador.

Furthermore, she has contributed to various educational and extracurricular activities such as Technovation Challenge, EducationUSA, UWC International, and LaunchX Entrepreneurship Program.

Her impactful engagements extend to organizational roles such as Head of Curation Team at TEDxYouth 6October STEM and Exchange Student at Legacy International.

Rawan's professional journey encompasses a wide array of experiences, showcasing her dedication to using technology and design to address real-world challenges and make a difference in her community and beyond.
