Raven Zachary

Raven Zachary is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ARound, a Stagwell company focused on creating augmented reality experiences for live events. Stagwell acquired his previous company, Object Theory, in November 2021, which specialized in designing mixed reality applications for platforms like Microsoft HoloLens and AR experiences for iOS and Android.

Before his work in augmented reality, Raven spent eight years in the mobile app industry. He is known for founding iPhoneDevCamp (now iOSDevCamp) in 2007, followed by leading the creation of the official Obama '08 for iPhone app. This led to the formation of Small Society, a mobile app development company where he worked on projects for Starbucks, Zipcar, Whole Foods Market, and others. Raven later sold his company to Walmart and managed the mobile product team there, launching multiple mobile apps and sites for the retail giant.

Raven Zachary's expertise spans various technologies including augmented reality, mixed reality, virtual reality, and mobile platforms such as iPhone, iPad, iOS, and Android. He also has experience with Microsoft HoloLens, Apple technology, mobile web, wearables like Apple Watch, and Internet technology and development. Throughout his career, Raven has showcased skills in infrastructure, management, team leadership, aesthetic computing, digital alchemy, and manifesting creative ideas through technology.

In terms of education, Raven Zachary studied music at Berklee College of Music, communications, music, and geography at the University of Iowa, and business at St. Edward's University. His vast professional network includes affiliations with organizations like Object Theory, State of Oregon, NYPD, Wacom Technology Corp., SxSW, and Nike Accelerator powered by Techstars, among many others.

Raven has held various roles such as Founding Partner at Object Theory, Technology Advisor for the State of Oregon, Mentor at Wacom Technology Corp., and Director of Mobile Product Management at AIM. He has been involved in numerous tech events as an organizer, advisor, or judge, showcasing his commitment to fostering innovation in the tech industry.
