Ratna Gill

Ratna Gill is a dedicated Master of Public Policy candidate at Harvard Kennedy School, with a keen interest in championing the rights and well-being of marginalized communities.

Prior to pursuing her MPP, Ratna held a leadership role as the Head of Communications & Advocacy at Aangan, a nonprofit committed to combatting issues like child trafficking, hazardous labor, early marriage, and abuse & exploitation.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and she is currently studying for a Master of Public Policy at the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School.

Ratna has experience working with various organizations such as the Institutional Antiracism & Accountability Project (IARA) at Harvard Kennedy School, William Monroe Trotter Collaborative for Social Justice, and the Emmett Till Interpretive Center.

She has also served in roles like Graduate Research Assistant, Communications Consultant, Senior Associate for Government Partnerships, and Collective Impact Coordinator at different organizations, showcasing a diverse skill set.

Ratna's professional journey includes internships at prominent institutions like the Environmental Defense Fund, Centro Mario Molina, and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where she honed her expertise in economic policy, sustainability research, and tribal rights.

As the Founder of Gyaan Ghar Learning Center and through her various internships and roles, Ratna has demonstrated a deep commitment to social and environmental causes, highlighting her passion for creating positive change in the world.
