Rashmi Kwatra has a rich history in the world of finance, starting her career at a very young age in her father's export business and delving into investments from the age of 12. Her early experience in managing investment portfolios led her to secure funding for an education NGO in Thailand, contributing to sustainable cash flows and capital appreciation for the non-profit's endeavors.
A distinguished alumna of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Rashmi graduated magna cum laude, holding prestigious titles such as the Benjamin Graham Scholar and Joseph Wharton Scholar. She later ventured into the realm of investment management with Prince Street Capital Management, specializing in emerging and frontier markets in South and Southeast Asia, eventually becoming the youngest Partner of the firm in 2014.
In 2017, Rashmi took a leap of faith and founded Sixteenth Street Capital, a platform through which she launched the Sixteenth Street Asian GEMS fund in 2018, concentrating on long-term investments in Asia's rapidly growing markets. While primarily focusing on public equities, Rashmi emphasizes valuing businesses akin to a long-term private purchaser, showing her strategic approach to investments.
Bringing her cultural heritage and multilingual skills to the forefront, Rashmi is fluent in languages including Thai, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, and English, reflecting her diverse background and ability to connect with various communities worldwide.
