I have always been passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge, particularly in technology, with Arabic speakers. This passion led me to start iaraby in 2011. At Barmej, I transformed my engineering and Scrum Master experience into engaging educational content.

I developed two comprehensive modules: one introducing NodeJS and another guiding learners through building a complete CRUD RESTful API. Additionally, I created a module on Agile methodologies, covering Scrum, Kanban, and Kanplan, to help individuals and teams generate faster value and feedback loops in their product development processes.

At Barmej, I adapted to new tools and environments, scripting, recording, and performing voiceovers for my modules. This enhanced my ability to create engaging and effective educational content. These experiences deepened my appreciation for teaching and provided me with valuable techniques and mentorship skills that I apply daily with my team members.

By joining BorderGuru, I got the chance to continue my plan and join a startup with a global impact to be more exposed to the worldwide market needs and challenges. 
In BorderGure, I learned and worked on new technologies which weren't available in the Arabic market when I was in Jordan. This was my first attempt to work in the logistics industry and understand the basic concepts of shipping. It also helped me to work on new problems and resolve them with the team.

My responsibilities at BorderGuru were:

- Managing the company warehouse application by developing needed features and making it ready and scalable for the future.
- Creating the application base architecture design.
- Building and deploying changes on production constantly every week.
- Planning the application roadmap with the business and the operation stakeholders.

eKeif is an Arabic slag for "e how," which means an electronic way to know how to do things like feeding a baby, trimming a beard, or even making a salad. eKeif application is a social app with the ability to make friends, create channels and start teaching people and friends how to do a thing.

I was consulted to work with the eKeif team to convert and drive the eKeif business to create a new backend system that supports web, iOS, and Android users. 

My duty in eKeif was:

- Created a proven architecture to be the foundation of the business's system needs. 
- Built a service template and admin interface for YouTubers to help them spread their videos and share their knowledge.
- Created the mobile application backend REST API to serve all mobile users.
- Deploy and track the application performance with integration and stress testing.
- Being a part of the SEO plan for the eKeif.com website to increase the website rank on Google.

Software Development Consultant

Souq.com is the largest E-commerce platform in the Arab world, attracting over 24 million unique visits per month! Souq.com was acquired later by Amazon.com.

I worked on Souq's recommendation engine, a product that aims to deliver the most relevant and personalized experience for shoppers on Souq.com before it becomes Amazon.com. In that team, I worked with data scientists to provide the necessary data they required from the users to train the AI algorithms and create accurate results for each user. I also returned the results to the users via APIs and displayed them on the frontend.

After the success in the recommendation team and the improvement we had in both customer and business dimensions, I've moved to join the CRM "Customer Relations Management" team to be a part of creating, integrating, and managing to brand new CRM tools to help before and after shipping relations with our customers, in this team we worked to integrate our system with an online CRM system called "APPBOY."

My general responsibilities at Souq:

- R&D, hunting, and prototyping for the best technologies and tools to build the recommendation engine (Hadoop, Cloudera, Phalcon, etc.)
- Drafting system architectures for the recommendation engine.
- Rolling out minimum viable products to validate the hypothesis and to solve the product in the most efficient way
- Continuously analyze and collect data to drive the product development for each sprint planning
- Integrating our CRM application with the APPBOY online CRM system.
- Providing a real-time data aggregation for users' behaviors on Souq.com to help marketers create and manipulate segments to target different types of users.
- Building new communication channels between Souq.com and its customers, such as push notifications, browser notifications, and SMS.
